Started by
ex-construction worker Marc
Smith, the Green Mill has been playing host to Marc’s Uptown
Poetry Slam since 1987. Since then performance poetry has spread across
the country and around the globe to hundreds of cities, universities,
festivals and cultural centers. “The Slam”, as it is affectionately
known, has even been featured on the Orpah Winfrey Show.
Ludovica, Abel, and Sissy, (the Weird
Sisters) hail from the locally renowned but globally ignored
wine region of the Carpathian Mountains. They got their start when they
realized there was no conceivable way they could make a living at anything
else. Thankfully, there was enough talent between the three of them
to make for one good act. Songwriters and bon vivants, the Sisters have
penned many exquisite originals, including “Some Like It Hot,” “Forbidden
Love,” and the ever popular “Blood Clot Song”. |
| WARNING:
If you're NOT there by 7pm, you probably will not get a seat. |
