Sanctuary Ski Club’s Bike Ride of the Month!
Are you ready to pump?
Salt Creek Bicycle Trail
Saturday, June 16th

10:00 AM MEET, 10:30 AM WE RIDE!

This is our pre-picnic bike ride to work up an appetite and a thirst for all the delicious picnic treats being served at Sanctuary's Annual Picnic (Non-members are always welcome!). We plan on meeting and parking at picnic grove #5 in Bemis Woods forest preserve - the same grove where our picnic is being held - click here and get a picnic flyer. At 10:30 AM we will start riding east on a paved trail 6.6 miles along the salt creek, through Brezina Woods to Brookfield Woods (directly across from Brookfield Zoo) and then return back - click here and get details about the Salt Creek bike trail. The around trip distance is 13.2 miles and we should be back at noon, the starting time of the picnic. Here are some things that you might want to bring on the ride:

BICYCLE LOCK • WATER BOTTLE • MONEY • SPARE INNER TUBE • 2-WAY RADIO

HELMET & SEAT BAG or RACK (FOR CARRYING THE ABOVE)

(also bring stuff for the picnic: a lawn chair, a food item for the picnic, an insulated beverage mug, ...etc.)

For the Talkabout 2-way radio fans, we will be jabbering on channel 7/privacy code 7.

Just show up, meet the group, and ride (SHOW AND GO).
