Sanctuary Ski Club’s Bike Ride of the Month! Are you ready to pump? Chicago's Lake Front Sunday, July 22nd

9:00 AM MEET, 9:30 AM WE RIDE!

The Chicago Lakefront consists of 20 miles of paved trail between Bryn Mawr Avenue and 71st Street along Lake Michigan. We plan on meeting in Lincoln Park, at the Waveland Clock Tower (3700 N Recreation Dr) at 9 AM to beat the heat and congestion. Limited free parking is avalable near the tennis courts just off Recreation Drive - Click Here for Directions & Transportation Options. Note: the metered parking is 25 cents per half hour for a maximum of 5 hours and only quarters are taken! We'll begin riding southward towards Grant Park at 9:30 AM, taking short breaks along the way and deciding how much further we'll go. This will definitely be a fun leisurely trip with no other major city event planned for lake front - click here to visit the City of Chicago Bike Resource website. Here are some things that you might want to bring on the ride:

BICYCLE LOCK • WATER BOTTLE • 10 QUARTERS FOR PARKING • 2-WAY RADIO

SPARE INNER TUBE • HELMET & SEAT BAG or RACK (FOR CARRYING THE ABOVE)

For the Talkabout 2-way radio fans, we will be jabbering on channel 7 / band 7.

Just show up, meet the group, and we'll ride (SHOW AND GO).
