Sanctuary Ski Club’s Bike Ride of the Month! Are you ready to pump? Botanical Gardens - North Branch Bicycle Trail Sunday, August 12th |

30-mile option: 9:00AM WE MEET, 9:30AM WE RIDE! Starting at Miami Woods Forest Preserve and ride to the Chicago Botanical Gardens in Glencoe and back (click here for details on the Garden). After approximately 5 miles (a half hour) we will meet up with other members at 10:00AM at Blue Star Memorial Woods. Together we'll ride a scenic shaded trail that parallels the North Branch of the Chicago River. We’ll stop for refreshments at the Chicago Botanical Garden’s for a 2-hour visit for lunch, to relax and stroll the gardens. A restuarant stop after the ride can prolong our enjoyment.
Directions: Find Oakton St in Niles on the following map. If you come from Dempster (US14), go east of Milwaukee Avenue to Caldwell Avenue (which is the same as Waukegan rd), then go south on Caldwell and make a left into Miami Woods Forest Preserve (just across or east of Cleveland St). If you come from Touhy, go east of Milwaukee Avenue to Caldwell Avenue, then go north on Caldwell and make a right into Miami Woods Forest Preserve (just across or east of Cleveland St) in Niles -- click here for a detailed map of Miami Woods -- park at the end near the bike trail.
