Sanctuary Ski Club’s Bike Ride of the Month! Are you ready to pump? The I&M Canal Path - Morris to Marseilles - Sunday, November 16th

9:30 AM MEET, 10 AM RIDE!

Meet at the I&M Canal in Morris near the Northwest corner of the bridge (HWY IL-47 or Division St) and the I&M Canal at the canal pedestrian bridge. Park in the municipal parking lot near the Court House (111 E. Washington St.). To get to Morris take I-55 toward Joliet, exit onto I-80 West toward Des Moines, exit 112 toward Morris / Yorkville, turn left onto IL-47 South and travel in to Morris (just 3/4 hr south of Chicago).

Afterwards In Morris we'll stop at a bar formally known as Fool’s bar and Corlleon’s Pizza and spaghetti place for food and refreshments. Both are on Liberty street, near the first street North of the IL-47 bridge just off Illinois Ave and the bike path.

We'll bike approximately 20 miles going west toward Marseilles or maybe a little further to Ottawa and then back. This is a really scenic trail with no hills and crushed limestone. Here are some things that you might want to bring on the ride:

BICYCLE LOCK • WATER BOTTLE • MONEY • SPARE INNER TUBE • 2-WAY RADIO

HELMET & SEAT BAG or RACK (FOR CARRYING THE ABOVE)

For the Talkabout 2-way radio fans, we will be jabbering on channel 7 / band 7.

Just show up, meet the group, and ride (SHOW AND GO).
