AM MEET, 9:30 AM WE RIDE!
Join us for a bike
ride of approximately 21 miles. The ride will encompass 3 different
forest preserves mostly on crushed limestone starting at Danada, and
connects to Herrick Lake, and Blackwell Forest preserves. The trail
takes you alongside lakes, marshes, open grasslands, equestrian, and
wooded sections.
If you wish to add extra miles, a variety of loops can be done in
the forest preserves. Or, explore the western suburbs further by
connecting to the Illinois Prairie Path.
Our starting point is Butterfield Road and Leask Road in Wheaton
(between Naperville Rd. and Rt. 53). There is ample parking is
across the street from the trail at Leask Rd. in front of
Oberweiss and American Mattress.
Afterwards, there are several nearby options for food and beverages
such as Charlie’s Ale House, Cozumels, and Houlihans while we cool
off, relax, and hydrate.

might want to bring on the ride:

LOCK WATER BOTTLE MONEY SPARE INNER TUBE 2-WAY RADIO
HELMET & SEAT BAG or RACK (FOR CARRYING THE ABOVE)
For
the Talkabout 2-way radio fans, we will be on channel 7 / band 7.
Just show up, meet the group, and ride (SHOW AND GO).
