Sanctuary Ski Club’s Bike Ride of the Month!
Are you ready to pump?
The Fox River Trail - Southern Section
Sunday, September 20th, 12 Noon

12 Noon WE MEET, 12:30 WE RIDE!

Then at 3:30 we'll head over to Walter Payton's Roundhouse for a drink & bite to eat and watch the Chicago Bears play the Pittsburgh Steelers

Although this fabulous and scenic trail could take us up to Crystal Lake, we will be riding the South portion only (distance 22 miles). Our route will be going 11 miles North to St. Charles/Rt 64, past Batavia and Geneva from Aurora. We'll cross the river just past downtown Batavia on the way up, and cross again in Geneva on the way back after riding through beautiful parks on the West side of the river in St. Charles.

There will be several resting and photo opportunities going in each direction at parks, near the windmill, and dams. We can stop in either Geneva or St. Charles for a snack. This portion of the Fox River trail is beautiful, woodsy, and paved. After the ride we can relax nearby at Walter Payton's Roundhouse and watch the Chicago Bears play the Pittsburgh Steelers - starting at 4:15.

Here are some things that you might want to bring:

Bike Lock • Water • $ • Spare Tube & Tools

Helmet • Seat bag or Rack (for the above)

Just show up, meet the group, and we'll ride (SHOW AND GO).
